Traditional
PCs and laptops often contain HDDs (hybrid hard drives) which are logical or
physical storage devices that combine a faster storage medium such as
solid-state drive with a higher-capacity hard disk drive. This means that the
speed of a PC runs on physical forces – movement and magnetism. They can be
affected if you drop your laptop when you’re traveling somewhere unlike SSDs
which are less likely to be affected by such an incident. This is especially
important for laptops since they are more mobile. SSDs are especially
beneficial to laptops because they are smaller and lighter than HDDs and
requires less power which will allow your laptop to last longer. Having an SSD
instead of an HDD which also decrease the boot time for applications as well as
for how long it takes for Windows to load up.
