Indoor Air Pollution in Developing Countries

Around 50% of people in the world, in developing countries, relies on coal and biomass in the form of wood, dung and crop residues for domestic energy. That coal and biomass burning will result in environmental issues such as smog, acid rain, and severe indoor air pollution even worse. Burning biomass, crop residues can cause women and children high levels of indoor air pollution every day.

In most developed countries, people already changed the way of energy consumption. They use electrical energy for heating, hot water, lighting, cooling. They consume new energy to protect the environment. On the other hand, new energy is comparatively rare in developing countries. People in developing countries will use biomass and coal as a main resource for living. However, much of the substance in biomass smoke can damage human health. Those substances include particles, carbon monoxide, nitrous oxides, sulfur oxides, formaldehyde, and Polycyclic organic matters. Particles with diameters below 10 microns, and particularly those less than 2.5 microns in diameter can penetrate deeply into the lungs and appear to have the potential risk to health.

The first home air purifier was invented in early 1963 made by an IQ air company in Germany. It came with HEPA filter and was able to remove dust, pollen, and bacteria efficiently. Since the first air purifier made successful in Germany, it was spread out to other European countries, such as England, Switzerland, Swiss, Italy. In 2000, air purifier came to the North America and changed the indoor household air quality since then. Now, air purifier is moving to the those developing countries, and air purifier will benefit those people in developing countries.

To sum up, we have been an air purifier since 2006, and we are professional to take care of indoor air purifier. We would like to share our knowledge of air purifier with you. Thus, you may log in at:www.theatlasstore.com to find more information about our air purifier.
